Karina LaRubbio

Hi! I’m Karina (she/her) and I studied abroad in France with the UF in Paris - Culture in Context program the summer between my sophomore and junior year. I’m a computer science major but have been learning French since high school and really wanted to pursue that interest through studying abroad. Through spending time abroad, I got so much more comfortable with learning a new language, whether that was through talking with my host family or learning about the culture all around me. It was my first time abroad, and everything was so new to me. Some of my favorite memories are going to a concert abroad, visiting Disneyland Paris, and doing a solo trip to Monet’s house in Giverny. I am so grateful for this truly once in a lifetime opportunity and am excited to share more about it through SAPA!!
