Julian Flores

Hi my name is Julian Flores. I studied abroad as a rising Junior during the Summer of 2022. I chose the UF in Madrid program through Heavener International Programs to have a large group of UF students accompany me and to improve my Spanish. The program was hosted by Nebrija University, where I took Spanish Culture, Intermediate Spanish, and International Marketing. Prior to Madrid, I was unsure about studying abroad but ultimately decided to apply at the last second; this was the best decision I made while being at UF. I explored all over Spain and made lifelong friends who I still see on a weekly basis here in Gainesville. I learned quickly that staying open minded and saying yes to every opportunity that arises maximizes your experience. Whether we were cliff jumping at waterfalls, stranded at the Rosalia concert, or simply having a group dinner, there was never a dull moment. This experience has made me eager to go abroad with UF again, so hopefully this summer I can intern abroad in London. Feel free to contact me or visit during my office hours for more information.
