"Ciao and Yamas! I’m Anisha Krishnamoorthy, a senior at UF majoring in Biological Sciences on the premed track. I loved every second of studying abroad in both the UF in Greece: Health Narratives and Medical NGOs program and the UF in Sorrento: Mediterranean Culture program. In Greece, I learned about the healthcare system and spent most of my time with the Down Syndrome Association of Greece, attending guest speakers and hospital visits while exploring cities in Greece. In Sorrento, I explored the Bay of Naples, took marine biology classes, and experienced Italian culture firsthand while traveling through Italy. I met my best friends at both programs, gained amazing skills and perspectives I will carry for the rest of my life, and deepened my love for the Mediterranean and for studying abroad. Traveling and immersing myself in these experiences truly changed my life and perspective, and I can’t wait to continue exploring more of the world in the future!
Countries I traveled to while abroad: Greece, Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Croatia!"
