Emma is a Gainesville native and UF Grad who has a passion for immersive educational travel. Her international education started when she was 16 as an exchange student in Böblingen, Germany. During undergrad at UF Emma studied abroad in Ireland, Australia, and Fiji, participating in the UF in Maynooth - Innovation Academy program Fall, 2014 and the UF in North Queensland and Fiji - Sustaining Humans and their Environment program Summer A, 2016. Having loved all her UF study abroad experiences, she became a Study Abroad Peer Advisor in the Fall of 2017. Emma graduated cum laude in the Fall of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication Production, minoring in Innovation with an outside concentration in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management. After college she moved to Spain for a year teaching English at a primary and secondary school in Valencia during the school year and was an Au Pair in Denia for the summer. Emma has also participated in an immersive Spanish Language program in San Jose, Costa Rica. She’s been to 16 countries and counting!
Emma now serves as a Study Abroad Advisor in the University of Florida International Center advising for Oceania, Ireland, Canada, and Multi-Destination programs, helping students find the perfect program that aligns with their academic and cultural interests.
Emma looks forward to co-leading the UF in New Zealand – Cultural Studies summer 2026!
Outside of traveling, Emma loves crafting, running, hiking, kayaking, reading, and listening to live music.
