Leah Barnes

Dumela (Setswana greeting)! My name is Leah (she/her), and I studied abroad in Botswana during Summer 2022 through the Council of International Educational Exchange (CIEE)’s Summer Community Public Health program. I chose this program because of its unique location and the opportunity to experience another country’s healthcare system. Studying abroad with a non-UF program made me (and my family!) a little nervous, but I’m so grateful for this choice, as I was able to forge bonds with students from all over the U.S. I’m excited to share more with you!
