Chase Whitfield

About Me: 

Hey there! My name is Chase Whitfield and I am a rising junior here at UF! I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to study abroad in Mexico through the UF in Merida program the summer before my freshman fall. I felt the opportunity to spend a semester abroad would help me gain essential interactive skills that would aid me through my collegiate experience while giving me the opportunity to immerse myself into a new culture and learn valuable lessons from it. Though UF has incredible instruction in a myriad of disciplines, there is little that can compare to surrounding yourself with an entirely new way of life. Though it may seem daunting, staying in an exclusively Spanish-speaking host home and figuring out my way around a brand new city was one of the most beneficial experiences I have had since starting college. Don't be afraid to push yourself outside of your comfort zone, that's where I have felt the most personal growth!
